FALLS CITY – Falls City announced Friday the resignation of administrator, city clerk and treasurer Kevin Cluskey.

Cluskey was appointed to the post in August of 2021 and served seven months.

He had previously worked as executive director of Southeast District Health Department from 2014 to 2108 and was a quality improvement specialist for the Sunflower Health Plan in Lenexa, Kan.

The Falls City Council met March 7, where Cluskey led discussion about  using text messages to alert citizens to emergencies and an OnCall Nurse program for the city’s health insurance.

Falls City Mayor Shawna Bindle said the city is moving forward positively just as it always has. She expects the city to continue to seek a communications platform, whether it is an app or text based.

Bindle said she expects to appoint a new city administrator fairly soon.
