SIDNEY - The Cheyenne County Community Center, Pedalers Corner, Adams Autos and Equipment and Sidney Regional Medical Center teamed with 987 The Big Boy in a unique way to help promote health and wellness across the Nebraska panhandle area this month.
The radio station is hosting its 2nd Annual Big Boy Big Wheel Race on Tuesday, March 22 at 11 a.m. The race will start at the Adams Autos and Equipment starting line near Sapp Bros and run along the Deadwood Trail, finishing at The Center near Legion Park.
Station Manager, Hunter Arterburn, and Sales Manager, Justin Richards, represent "The Big Boys" and challenged Sidney Regional Medical Center Accountant Catie Bondegard and SRMC Dietician Deeona Johnstone to race for the coveted Big Boy Big Wheel Trophy.
Every Tuesday at 11 a.m., leading up to race day, the four challengers train at the Cheyenne County Community Center. Each week will feature a new class with one of their instructors. People are invited to watch on The Big Boy 987 Facebook page to get a taste of what's offered at The Center.
The Center donated a free year-long membership to the person who correctly predicts the winner of the big wheel race. This person will also receive a $50 gift card to Pedalers Corner in Sidney. The people who select the correct competitor will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize.
