SIDNEY, Iowa – Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports the arrest of a Riverton man after a traffic stop where the K9 Danken indicated to illegal drugs.

A sheriff’s office press release says 39-year-old Joshua Martin is suspected of possession of methamphetamine and eluding.

The sheriff says Martin refused to cooperate during the traffic stop and attempted to flee the scene. However, his vehicle became disabled in the snow a few yards from the traffic stop.
