Plattsmouth Woman Held After I-29 Stop

SIDNEY – Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports two arrests following a traffic stop Sunday afternoon on Interstate 29.
A press release says an un-plated Nissan Versa was traveling at a high rate of speed on the northbound lanes near the Thurman exit.
The sheriff says the K9 Roby was deployed and alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and prescription pills were located.
Leanthony Carey, age 29 of Gretna and Jamie Leigh Conn, 22, of Plattsmouth were arrested.
Carey is suspected of possession of paraphernalia and was held on a $300 bond.
Conn is suspected of possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and prescription pills. She was held on a $2,300 bond.
