Sheriff: suspect car jacker found dead

Tarkio police have identified the suspect of a Missouri carjacking who was found dead in Nemaha County, Nebraska.
Police say 34-year-old David Armstrong is suspected of brandishing a firearm at the Gas Spot in Tarkio before leaving with a store employees’ 2016 Cadillac.
The car’s security system was used to track it traveling into Nebraska and was used to disable the vehicle.
The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office says authorities entered the car to find its sole occupant deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

BROCK – Nebraska officials say a carjacking suspect from an incident in Tarkio, Mo., was found dead in Nemaha County with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office press release says an in-vehicle security system indicated the carjacker was near Auburn and deputies located the vehicle on Highway 67 near Brock.
The vehicle was disabled by the in-vehicle security system.
The Nebraska State Patrol assisted with entry to the vehicle where the driver and sole occupant was found dead.
