Tecumseh Man Charged With Shotgun After Probation Search
Deputies rescue puppy from dark basement

TECUMSEH – A 21-year-old Tecumseh man is charged with possession of a firearm and methamphetamine following a probation search of his Grant Street residence in Tecumseh.
An arrest affidavit says sheriff’s deputies arrested Tanner Sayavong on Feb. 27 after conducting a welfare check on his girlfriend. Deputies say the woman was not in immediate danger, but they noticed a shotgun through a garage window.
The probation search yielded a Westpoint shotgun, 10 rounds of ammunition, black sword and plastic bags with meth residue.
Sheriff deputies say a young puppy was found in the basement where there were no lights. The puppy appeared ill so it was taken to the Tecumseh Animal Clinic.
