City Asked To Extend TIF To New Owner Of Thurman's Bike & Sport Building
Thurman informs city has has found a buyer for the south 11th Street property
NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska City Community Development Agency is scheduled to consider extending tax increment financing to the new owner of the former Thurman’s Bike & Sport building at 300 S. 11th St.
Jim Thurman received tax increment financing when constructing the new building and is asking the city to transfer the agreement to new owners.
City records say tax increment financing can be transferred, but Thurman will have to repay any revolving loan funds when the property is sold.
The CDA is scheduled to meet Jan. 20 at 5:55 p.m. at city hall.
