The Nebraska City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2.

The agenda includes the swearing in of Richard Koch as a police officer, parking on Sylvan road, moving the council chambers to the Rowe building and the airport authority’s dispute with its fix-based operator.

Koch has a degree in electronic communications and lives in Nebraska City. He is a licensed medical responder and firefighter. He has 10 years experience as a self defense trainer and in fire arms safety.

The city council approved $30,000 to move the city council chambers to the Rowe Public Safety building. The city is considering a $4,634 bid from Cornhusker State Industries to build cabinets and podium.

The project also includes a raised floor for the cabinets to sit on, monitors, speakers and microphones.

Airport Authority members are Arlin Stutheit, Neal Deremer, Phil Silvius, Dean Thomson and Todd Smith.
