SIDNEY – A Tarkio, Mo., man was arrested in Fremont County Thursday after witnesses called sheriff deputies saying a woman was yelling that someone was trying to kill her.

Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that the woman was yelling from a car in Tabor and convinced concerned motorists to follow the car to 2800 Avenue in rural Tabor.

A man exited the vehicle, climbed onto the hood and began breaking the windshield. The sheriff says the man fled when deputies arrived, but was quickly apprehended.

The man, identified as 25-year-old Brandon Yost, is suspected of possession of methamphetamine, violation of a protection order, domestic abuse and criminal mischief.

The sheriff says he was also arrested on a Fremont County warrant for possession and a Page County warrant for domestic abuse.

A Fremont County K9 conducted a search of the vehicle and the sheriff says additional charges are expected.

Yost  was also out of jail on bond in connection to a burglary arrest in Page County.
