Emergency crews out in record heat
Nebraska City Airport reports 95 degrees
NEBRASKA CITY - Emergency crews are responding to a Highway 2 accident near Palmyra and a grass fire across the Missouri River bridge in Iowa, as the temperatures rises to a record high for March.
The Nebraska City Airport reported a record-breaking temperature of 93 degrees before 3 p.m. and a high of 95.2 degrees at 4:35 p.m. The previous high temperatures for March were 91 degrees in Lincoln and 93 degrees in McCook.
The entire state is listed in the "extreme risk" for rangeland fire on Saturday. The risk decreases to very high for most of River Country on Sunday and moderate on Monday.

Palmyra and Douglas fire and rescue crews were dispatched for a two-vehicle accident on Highway 2 near Road 14 5:32 p.m. A medical helicopter is also being dispatched.
