KIMBALL, Neb. — The Western Trails Conference Basketball Tournament will be held Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 5–7, with games hosted at home sites on Thursday and the Western Nebraska Community College campus in Scottsbluff on Friday and Saturday.

On the girls’ side, Bridgeport enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed and receives a first-round bye. Mitchell and Bayard will meet in Mitchell Thursday evening, with the winner advancing to face Bridgeport in the semifinals Friday afternoon at WNCC. Morrill, the No. 2 seed, hosts Hemingford Thursday, while Kimball will face Gordon-Rushville in the other first-round matchup in Kimball. Semifinals are scheduled for Friday, with the championship game set for Saturday evening at WNCC. 

In the boys’ bracket, Kimball is the top seed and also earns a first-round bye. Bayard and Mitchell will meet Thursday night in Bayard, with the winner advancing to face Kimball in the semifinals Friday at WNCC. Bridgeport, the No. 2 seed, hosts Morrill Thursday, while Hemingford and Gordon-Rushville square off in the other first-round game. The boys’ semifinals and championship will also be played at WNCC, with placement games scheduled throughout Saturday.

All Kimball games during the Western Trails Conference Tournament will be broadcast on 104.3 KIMB.
