NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. — Nebraska City Fire and Rescue responded to an injury accident on Highway 2 Monday morning with a temperature of negative 8 and a wind chill of negative 23 degrees.

A Honda with 44-county plates had slowed on the highway to make a turn on 56 Road when it was hit from the rear. The driver was taken to a hospital with what was described at the scene as minor injuries.

The Ford with 11-county plates sustained driver's side front damage. Both vehicles came to rest off of the westbound lanes of the highway.
