FALLS CITY- Minutes of the Jan. 21 Richardson County Board meeting include discussion on using county bridges to prevent the movement of livestock.

Commissioners reviewed photographs showing items attached to bridge structures that appear to keep livestock from crossing beneath the bridge.

Highway Superintendent Steve Darveau Jr. told commissioners the attaching or removing anything from a public road structure can result in a criminal charge.

In other business, the county board is expected to scheduled a Jan. 28 meeting regarding discussion on the termination of the contract to develop a comprehensive plan and zoning regulations.

Minutes say Commissioner Bob Campbell said he does not support zoning regulations for anyone in District 2.

Commissioners also held a 90-minute closed session with labor attorney Jerry Pigsley.
