Peter David Binder, 64, of Table Rock, Nebraska was born March 31, 1961 to Minnie Louise (Parks) and Willard Binder. Peter joined the family as the fourth child with three older siblings: Jonathan, Rebecca, and Martha.  The family grew to include Charles, Sarah, and Samuel, making Pete the middle child.

Pete was an easygoing child with a ready smile who loved the outdoors.  He could frequently be seen in a cowboy hat and boots, drawing horses and all kinds of animals in great detail.  As he grew, he helped in the family business.

In school Pete enjoyed sports, was a good athlete, played in the band, and excelled as a student.  His teammates and classmates were close friends.  He was voted all conference linebacker in football his senior year and elected homecoming king.  He was also very active in the church youth group, and spent time as a summer camp counselor as faith was a pillar for his life.

Pete graduated from Table Rock High School in 1979. He attended the University of Nebraska for one year then transferred to Peru State College graduating with a mathematics degree. His first teaching job was at Filley Schools where he taught all levels of math, as well as coaching both football and girls' basketball for four years. Pete next taught and coached football at Weeping Water Schools for three years.  As a coach, he honed his lasagna making skills by hosting each team for a celebration; a skill the family has indulged in for many years.  He also enjoyed participating in bowling leagues.

After teaching seven years, Pete decided to join his father at Binder Brothers full time with brothers Charlie and Sam. Pete also ran PB Construction doing siding, roofing, and other jobs for local residents.  His artistic side was evident in various ways, including seeing beauty where others didn’t in his woodworking and other art projects.

In the 1990’s, Willard turned over the business to the guys, thus making it truly Binder Brothers once again.

Pete served his community in multiple ways through the years, from assisting people on concrete pours to answering calls to help older people in town with various needs.  He used his gift of serving others, following his father’s example.  He was a hard worker but made time relationships and other activities.

Once Pete returned to Table Rock full time, he jumped back in as a role model and leader of the community youth group.  He continued to enjoy sports, playing “old man’s” basketball with friends.

As a true Binder Brothers owner, he took pride in his work when driving around pointing out jobs he had a part in.  Mid 1990’s the brothers added a farming sub corporation named Rocky Ridge, Inc.  This complimented his love of God’s creation and frequently he could be found bumping across the fields to the fishing ponds taking along any willing party.

Pete became the biggest kid around as children from the neighborhood, church and family were drawn to him.   Whether it was a game of basketball, football, cards, doing chores, riding along in the trucks, fishing, mowing, roller skating, swimming, exploring, shooting, sledding, singing, or many, many more activities, fun was always guaranteed.  His relationships left a lasting impression on those he loved.  Especially his nieces: Raelyn, Ruth, and Grace and nephews: Nicholas and Matthew.  He often said the best gift was having family home to visit including in-laws Karen, Neil, Eldon, and Tony (deceased).

His legacy of serving the Lord and others continues with his death on January 16, 2026. Pete’s decision of a full body donation to Live On Nebraska, allows his body to be used in multiple ways to fulfill live saving needs.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the United Methodist Church in Table Rock, Nebraska with Pastors Lori Stevens and Howard Blecha officiating.
