NEBRASKA CITY, NE - The Lions of Louisville and the Pioneers of Nebraska City split a high school hoops doubleheader on Thursday, as heard on B103.

In the opener, the Louisville ladies moved to 3-1 on the season with a 48-25 triumph that dropped the Pioneers to 1-3. The contest was a true tale of two halves. After holding a 13-12 lead through the first quarter, Neb. City fell behind by a bucket at halftime, 23-21. After that, it was all Louisville, as they dominated the second half, 25-4! The Lions were led by the 13 points of Lilly Bax, while Noelle Larson dropped in eleven. NC had a team-high eight points & six rebounds from Lexi Brown.

The nightcap saw Nebraska City snare a narrow 57-54 victory over Louisville, leaving each boys team with a record of 2-2 on the season. Neb. City's Kaiden Klassen hit for 23 points, Caleb Walker dropped in 13, and Mitchell Hodges helped the hosts with a dozen. Jase Ostblom led the Lions with 24 points, while Rylan Schmidt hit for ten.

Nebraska City will be on B103 again tonight (Dec. 12) when they host Shenandoah, IA, for a 6p doubleheader. Louisville takes the court again on Tuesday, Dec. 16, bringing in Weeping Water.
