Robert G. Housh, age 77 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at his home.

Robert Gene Housh was born on October 1, 1948 in Nebraska City, NE; the son of Robert Percy and Berneil Edith (Martacho) Housh.  He grew up and attended school in Nebraska City where he graduated from Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1967.  He entered the United States Army on March 26, 1969 and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged on December 11, 1970 and received numerous decorations and medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

At an early age, he worked at the former Morton House Kitchens in Nebraska City.  He later did various types of work including a carpenter.  He built several homes in Nebraska City and was a very talented and skilled carpenter.  Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.  He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and boating, especially on the Missouri River.

On February 17, 2012, Robert was united in marriage to Barbara J. Evans in Auburn, NE.  Prior to his marriage to Barb, they shared 17 years of their lives together. 

He is survived by his wife Barbara Housh of Nebr. City, NE; children:  Holly Housh of Nebr. City, Pamela Moyer (Jason) of Omaha, NE and Jeff Evans (Amanda) of Nebr. City; six grandchildren:  Juan Pablo Ovalle Housh, Juan Manuel Chavez Housh, Bryler James Chavez Housh, Silus Lee Moyer, Olivia Nell Moyer and Robert Lee Evans; siblings:  Steve Housh (Lorreen) of Nebr. City, Denise Housh of Nebr. City and Alan Housh (Pam) of Nebr. City; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by parents, a sister Evette Vanderwal and a brother Roger Housh.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City.  Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebr. City with Military Honors by the Nebraska Army National Guard Funeral Honors Detail and the Talmage American Legion Post.   Casual dress and warm clothing is suggested.  

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thurs. (12/4) at the mortuary.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
