Jenny Christine (Lyons) Bruce, age 44 of Hamburg, IA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 21, 2025.  Jenny was born on November 9, 1981, the daughter of Mike and Kathy (Stenzel) Lyons.  She grew up in Hamburg and graduated from Hamburg High school in 2000.

She was the beloved wife of Shannon Gene Bruce and together they shared 14 years of marriage, having wed on April 23, 2011. She was a committed and selfless mother to Hailey Marie Earith of Nebraska City, Alexis Lynn Earith of Nebraska City and Matthew Edward Earith of Nebraska City.  She was a proud grandmother of Saylor Parker-Gene Sullivan, Kash Daniel Spidell, and Kingston Ray Spidell.  She was also a cherished daughter of Mike and Kathy Lyons of Hamburg and the sister of Doug Lyons and wife Tiffany of Nebraska City. Other survivors include her nieces and nephews:  Jada, Dane, Trey, Alayna and Lauren; paternal grandma Mary Ann Lyons of Hamburg, IA; mother-in-law Linda Cunningham of Council Bluffs, IA; father-in-law Lester Bruce of Hamburg, IA; brother-in-law Chris Bruce of Walnut, IA and cousin Russell Bruce of Hamburg, IA; other family and friends.

Jenny started her career at the Junction Convenient Store with her mom. She soon went to work at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, lowa and later did housekeeping.

Jenny left behind a warmth and joy that will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Jenny had a gift for finding delight in the small things.  She adored frogs and Mickey Mouse, treasured her jewelry, and loved sharing little pieces of happiness with those around her.

Her greatest joy came from spoiling her grandbabies and her beloved puppies, showering them with affection and treating every moment with them as something precious.

Jenny had a remarkable ability to make new friends wherever she went, and her bright, welcoming spirit made others feel instantly at ease.

She loved keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, always cheering others on, offering a kind word, or sharing something that made her smile. Her presence, both online and in person, brought comfort, laughter, and connection.

Jenny's spirit, generosity, and love will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg with Pastor Courtney Dake officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery southeast of Hamburg.  The family encourages casual dress for the funeral.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday (11/28) at the funeral home.
