NEBRASKA CITY – Emergency crews were dispatched early Sunday morning on a report of a gunshot wound near an 11th Corso residence.

The shooting was reported at 1:05 a.m. and a patient was transported by medical helicopter from CHI Health St. Mary’s about an hour and a half later.

The Otoe County Attorney was at the scene overnight and a search warrant was sought for a vehicle around 4 a.m.. The Nebraska State Patrol assisted with criminal investigation.

The scene was cleared around 10 a.m. Sunday.
