Artist reception set Thursday for Lincoln Clay Tour

NEBRASKA CITY- Lincoln Clay Tour: A Celebration of Clay and Community is on display at Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts through Dec. 19.
The self-guided tour is a platform for ceramic artists.
An artist reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, with one of the founding members, Sharon Ohmberger.

NEBRASKA CITY, NE, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts presents “Lincoln Clay Tour: A Celebration of Clay and Community.” On display November 3rd - December 19th 2025. An Artist Reception will be hosted from 5-7PM on November 20th 2025, including one of the founding members: Sharon Ohmberger, who will present on behalf of the ongoing Tour.
“The Lincoln Clay Tour serves as a collaborative platform for ceramic artists in Nebraska and beyond, fostering a vibrant community dedicated to the advancement and appreciation of ceramic arts. As a collective, its purpose is to connect local artists—both established and emerging—by offering opportunities for artistic exchange, public engagement, and mutual support. Through annual open studio events, the tour highlights a diverse range of ceramic practices, encouraging dialogue between artists and the public, and promoting the visibility and accessibility of high-quality handmade ceramics. By welcoming new and returning participants each year, the Lincoln Clay Tour strengthens the regional arts landscape and sustains a dynamic network of creators committed to sharing their craft.”
Lincoln Clay Tour was founded by Su Harvey, Gail Kendall, Sharon Ohmberger and Amy Smith. The self-guided ceramic tour offers folks the opportunity to: meet artists, discuss ceramic practices and processes, visit host-artist studios, and purchase at varying locations in the capital city of Nebraska.

Since 2001, KHN's residency program has hosted more than 60 working artists each year—a combination of visual artists, writers, composers, and interdisciplinary artists from across the country and worldwide. In addition, KHN's gallery program hosts approximately six exhibitions annually, showcasing the work of regional artists and alumni residents. KHN is a program of the Richard P.
