LINCOLN - The Nebraska Department of Transportation plans to close the Highway 75 access ramp to Omaha from Highway 2 for bridge repairs. Ramp to close Wednesday morning, Nov. 5 and again Nov. 10 to Nov. 13.

Motorists will be detoured to south 11th Street and west Fourth Corso at Nebraska City to go north toward Omaha.

Oct. 31, 2025 - Weather permitting, the United States 75 (US-75) northbound access ramp from westbound Nebraska Highway 2 (N-2) near Nebraska City (US-75 reference post 48.57/N-2 reference post 503.85) will close Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, for bridge work, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Ramp access will be restored once the work has been completed for the remainder of the week. The ramp will close again Monday morning, Nov. 10, with access tentatively expected to be restored Friday, Nov. 14, weather permitting and work dependent.

 Motorists needing to access the US-75 northbound ramp near Nebraska City will be detoured at the junction of US-75 and N-2 (south entrance) to South 11th Street (Business 75) and West 4th Corso Street (Old Hwy N-2). Motorists will then be able to access US-75 northbound and the US-75/West 4th Corso interchange.

The detour route will be identified by signing and/or portable dynamic message boards. Message boards will be in place prior to the closure and detour to alert motorists of the status of the northbound US-75 ramp. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
