Work begins on Good of the Hive mural at Auburn
Creative District encourages community engagement with global artist
AUBURN - Auburn’s role in a global story of 50,000 pollinators is underway with muralist Matthew Willey painting a Good of the Hive mural in Auburn.
Willey has painted over 11,000 honeybees in 64 murals across five continents and will be in Auburn for four to six weeks.
The Auburn Creative District is planning a picnic, meet and greet and school visits during the project.
Leslie Clark of the district says Willey’s work will turn a blank wall into a living story of Auburn’s connection to honeybees. She says the mural will be part of Auburn’s legacy.
