Driver reports hydroplaning on Highway 2

DUNBAR - Dunbar firefighters responded Wednesday morning to an accident with airbag deployment on Highway 2.

The highway remained opened as the vehicle came to rest in the median around 8 a.m.

Radio traffic indicated that the car may have hydroplaned in the eastbound lanes. The Nebraska City Airport reported rain and thunderstorms in the vicinity from 4:35  to 7:55 a.m. with 100 percent relative humidity. Minor injuries are suspected.
