LINCOLN - The Nebraska Department of Economic Development is highlighting the film connections of Nebraska football player Ceyair Wright and Omaha actor Randy Goodwin.
An article published at the DED website says football brought Wright from California to Nebraska, but his film opportunities have continued.
While preparing for the Cornhuskers’ season this summer, Wright also interned at Fallen Giant Films in Omaha, which is founded by Goodwin.
Goodwin grew up in Omaha and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film career. Goodwin became a regular on the Showtime TV series Fast Track and played the first black NASCAR driver.
The DED article says Wright is well suited for work that demands adaptability, and he is exploring the lane of a film producer.
Wright, who played the son of Lebron James in Space Jam: A New Legacy, plans to register for the NFL draft at the end of the season.
The DED says Fallen Giant Films is building the film industry in Nebraska and connecting the state’s creative community.
