Palmyra RCuts listed in state's 2026 plan

NEBRASKA CITY - The Nebraska Department of Transportation released its surface transportation program program book for 2026 which includes $722 million in projects over the next six years.
Projects including completing the US 275 expressway between Norfolk and Omaha, expanding I-680 in Omaha and improving 40 miles of Interstate 80 from Lincoln to Kimball. The RCut intersections on Highway 2 at Palmyra are included in the 2026 plan.

Cass County projects include bridges on the Nehawka spur and Weeing Water Creek on Highway 50.
Otoe County projects include a bridge at Talmage.
In Nemaha County, a camera tower on Highway 75 near Julian and bridge improvements at Brownville.
Richardson County projects include Highway 62 bridges west of Indian Cave State Park and west of Stella.
Resurfacing of 8.4 miles between Falls City and Rulo and six miles of Highway 8 west of Salem are in the 2027 to 2031 plan.
Resurfacing 9 miles of Highway 75 from Dawson to the Kansas line is in the 2026 plan, with resurfacing from Dawson to Auburn in the 2027 to 2031 plan.
Resurfacing Highway 4 in Pawnee County is also in the one-year plan.
