SIDNEY – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of the Fremont County Fair Board president for suspicion of theft, unauthorized use of a credit card and false reporting.

Troy Allen Adkisson, 42, of Tabor was held in the county jail on a $48,000 bond.

A sheriff’s office Facebook post says Adkisson is suspected of providing false documentation regarding purchases to the fair board resulting in payments to himself of over $15,000.

The sheriff’s office says Adkisson then made false statements to investigators this month claiming the items he purchased on behalf of the fair board were stolen.
