911 outage in Cass and Otoe counties
Cass sheriff offices offer alternative phone number, but Otoe County says 911 calls will be rerouted and answered
NEBRASKA CITY- The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office reports a temporary outage of the 911 system due to a damaged fiber line at 10:53 a.m.
The non-emergency line of 402-873-9560 is also affected.

The sheriff’s office says 911 calls are being rerouted to surrounding communication centers, so 911 calls will be answered. The answering 911 center will forward information to the appropriate communications center.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the outage includes text messages. For immediate emergencies call 402-296-9530.
There was a rescue call to the Cass County public defender’s office in Plattsmouth that came through a second party due to the 911 outage.
Jefferson County reported a possible injury accident on Highway 8. The call was dispatched through emergency management.
Jefferson and Saline County Emergency Management reports 911 lines are down in Jefferson County. The sheriff is taking calls at 402-729-2284. Saline County 911 is working.
