OMAHA, Neb. — News Channel Nebraska is televising the championship days of the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) State Track Meet.

News Channel Nebraska (NCN), through a partnership with the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) and the NSAA, will provide live TV coverage of all championship track events on Thursday (Class A and B) and Saturday (Class C and D) from Burke Stadium in Omaha.

Viewers can watch all championship track events each day on statewide television on News Channel Nebraska (click here for channel finder) or online through a paid subscription through the NFHS Network.

News Channel Nebraska has televised the NSAA State Track and Field Championships since 2019, making it an annual staple of the network's live high school sports coverage.

“Nebraska’s state track meet has been a fan favorite for decades,” said News Channel Nebraska CEO Andy Ruback. “We’re excited to once again bring the sights and sounds of the meet into homes across Nebraska as student-athletes compete to find out who is the best of the best.”

The locally owned network continues to provide statewide coverage of championship-level events. It also televises the first and second rounds of the NSAA state basketball tournament each winter.

NCN also partners with the NSAA to cover the Six-Man State Football Championship, as well as the State Play Production, Journalism, and Unified Bowling Championships.

“Partnering with the NSAA for these marque events allows us to showcase Nebraska's outstanding student-athletes on the biggest stages," said Brandon Aksamit, NCN Executive Director of Sports Content. "It allows families, friends, and fans who can't attend the events to witness and celebrate their achievements."

News Channel Nebraska is the state’s most widely distributed privately owned news network, reaching more than 550,000 homes. Founded in 2015, NCN is based in Norfolk and operated by Flood Communications, which also owns 18 radio stations, Telemundo Nebraska and News Channel Nebraska.
