Accident with fire reported south of Nebraska City

NEBRASKA CITY – Emergency crews responded to a fatality accident on Highway 75 eight miles south of Nebraska City.
The accident involving a pickup truck and freight truck with semi-trailer was reported just before 9 p.m.
A Nebraska State Patrol accident reconstruction was requested. Otoe County Emergency Management was called for drone assistance and because of a fuel leak over 50 gallons.
Talmage firefighters were called for mutual aid to Nebraska City Fire and Rescue.
Highway 75 was closed south of Highway 128 for about 5.5 hours, re-opening at 2:30 a.m.

Alternative routes are advised as both lanes of traffic are blocked.
