Glen A. Keene, age 81 of Union, NE passed away on Monday; May 5, 2025 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE.

Glen Arthur Keene was born on December 19, 1943 at the family home in Union, NE; the son of Otis Arthur and Lena Gertrude (Rakes) Keene.  He attended school in Union and later at Nehawka where he graduated with the Class of 1961.

He was united in marriage to Connie Linda Cook on January 8, 1964 at Weeping Water, NE and to this union four children were born.   Connie preceded him in death on January 16, 2009.

Glen worked for some 26 years at PCS Phosphate at Weeping Water as a welder and in general maintenance.  He retired in 2006.

He is survived by his children:  Pam Johnson of Nehawka, NE, Dale Keene (Karla) of Sevierville, TN and Darold Keene (Bobbi) of Otoe, NE;  six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; siblings:  Nola Grundwald,  Lonnie Keene (Sandy) and Delbert Keene all of Union, NE; other family and many friends.

In addition to his wife Connie, he was preceded in death by a daughter Amy L. Keene in 1971 and siblings:  Mev, Lamar, Leo, Ardie, Bonnie, Virginia and Ivan.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at West Union Cemetery near Union, NE; inurnment will follow the services.
