Virginia Miller, 96 of Nebraska City

Virginia L. Miller, age 96 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Wednesday morning; April 20. 2025 at Good Samaritan Care Center in Syracuse, NE.
Virginia Laverne Miller was born on December 25, 1928 in St. Louis, MO; the daughter of Arthur J. and Mary Ann (Evans) Fuchs. She grew up and attended school in St. Louis where she graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1947.
On May 4, 1962, Virginia was united in marriage to Milton Brent Miller and to this union two children were born: Terry and Tracy. Virginia and Brent moved to Nebraska City in 1976 from St. Louis, MO. She began her career at St. Mary’s Hospital in the Accounting/Payroll Department in 1977 and continued to work there until 1997 when she retired . Although she enjoyed her many years at St. Mary’s Hospital, she preferred being a stay at home mom! She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge, enjoyed playing BINGO and going to the casino and was an avid pet lover. Virginia was also a huge sports fan; attending all the sporting events Terry and Tracy participated in growing up.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Terry (Lisa) Miller of Lincoln, NE and Tracy (Larry) Wieckhorst of Nebr. City, NE; two grandchildren: Bryce (Jissell Cruz) Miller of Lincoln, NE and Austin Miller (Samantha Schulz) of Treynor, IA; three great-grandchildren: Lilian and Alexis Graham of Nebr. City, NE and Dominic Carrillo of Chicago, IL; other family and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, M. Brent Miller on April 29, 2004, her parents, a brother Evan and sister Georgena “Toots”.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebr. City.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband Brent.
Memorials may be given to the Bethel Church in Nebraska City, NE.
