AUBURN - Bryce Baker, 36,of Lincoln is charged with possession following an April 5 roll-over crash.

An arrest affidavit says deputies responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 75 and found a Chevrolet Tahoe on its driver’s side. A deputy broke a window and entered the vehicle to find Baker unresponsive. He soon stopped breathing and lost his pulse. Deputies began CPR and assessed that Baker had regained a pulse after three cycles of compressions. The affidavit says Auburn Rescue took over and administered Narcan, which is used to reverse opioid overdose.

The deputy said a field test revealed burned fentanyl on aluminum foil found in the Tahoe.

Baker denied fentanyl use before he was released from the hospital.

In a separate court case, Aidan White, 25, of Auburn is charged with assault on April 28.

A Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says White’s neighbors called deputies after he wielded a light saber constructed of metal and heavy plastic where a seven-year-old girl was playing. Police say White apologized for hitting people with the light saber and was cordial, but say there were unrelated outbursts of anger and complaints of rising rent costs.

A competency evaluation has been ordered.
