NEBRASKA CITY - The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office is participating in a “Make it Click” enforcement May 12 to June 1.

Extra high visibility and saturation patrols will have emphasis on the use of cellular devices while driving.

The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety says the most effective way to reduce traffic crash injuries and save lives is to have all drivers and passengers buckled up in every vehicle.

Last year, 74 percent of the 186 fatally injured vehicle occupants were not wearing seat belts.
