Caroline M. Sarraillon, 99 of Nebr. City

Caroline Sarraillon, age 99 of Nebraska City, NE passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Ambassador in Nebr. City.
Caroline Marie Sarraillon was born on May 9, 1925 in Nebraska City, NE; the daughter of Adolph and Orlinda Ursula (Vollman) Korring. She grew up and attended school in Nebraska City.
On March 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to Joseph I. Sarraillon at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church near Julian, NE and to this union four daughters were born: Kathy, Diane, Donna and Marlene. At a young age, Caroline worked at Bertholds Greenhouse and later in life worked as a cook at the Nebraska City Manor for 16 years. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Caroline is survived by children: Kathy Vande Berg (Eric) of Papillion, NE, Diane Wilmes (Mike) of Lincoln, NE, Donna Minderman (Tim) of Nebr. City, NE and Marlene Grable (David) of Nebr. City, NE; 12 grandchildren: Cara Vande Berg of Keaau, HI, Aaron Vande Berg of Papillion, Brad Clatterbuck of Castle Rock, CO, Shane Clatterbuck (Nichole) of Scottsdale, AZ, Jordan Wilmes (Katie) of Grinnell, IA, Jacob Wilmes (Erin) of Louisville, NE, Abigail Zike (Dmitriy) of College Station, TX, Darrin Minderman (Yanira) of Fallbrook, CA, Lori Martin (Clint) of Nebr. City, NE, Michael Cole (Georgia) of Falls City, NE, Sarah Barton (Antone) of Nebr. City, NE and Joshua Grable of Nebr. City, NE; great-grandchildren: Talanoa, Avry, Rowyn, Zaya, Dashyn, Mercy, Nick, Logan, Grayson, Mia, Cam, Cadence, Brody, Dylan, Vivian, Henry, Jack, Charlotte, Millie, Lily, Sophia, Valeria, Miranda, Juliet, Aubrey (Kameron), Zoey, Grant, Aubrey (Jackson), Gavin, Corbin, Marla and River; one great-great grandchild Phillip; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 2002; her parents and three siblings: Fred Korring, Irene Korring and Earl Korring; and one infant brother Adolph.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nebr. City. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nebr. City.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday (4/15) at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City, followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Cemetery or Lourdes Central Catholic School.
