NEBRASKA CITY- David Haldeman, 64, of Lincoln is charged in Otoe County with driving under the influence causing injury on Nov. 25.

An arrest affidavit says deputies were dispatched to a head-on accident at the intersection of highways 2 and 43 near Palmyra that injured Haldeman and 55-year-old Stacie Higgins.

A witness told investigators that a car was traveling in the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of Highway 2. The affidavit says calculations based on medical records show Haldeman’s blood alcohol level at .308 compared to a legal limit of .08.
