Sheriff investigates truck stop death

NEBRASKA CITY – An Otoe County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post says foul play is not suspected in the death of a truck driver at Love’s Travel Center near Syracuse.

A trucking company told deputies on Friday they had not heard from the driver for two days and GPS located the truck at the truck stop parking lot.

Norman Battista, 67, of Indiana was found deceased. An autopsy has been scheduled.
