Prison term ordered for Plattsmouth sex offender

PLATTSMOUTH - A Cass County judge handed down a 35 to 40-year prison sentence for a Plattsmouth man convicted of sexual assault of a child in August.

Matthew Kochen, 41, earlier entered pleas in district court to sexual assault, child abuse and strangulation.

Kochen was arrested on the strangulation charge in May. Additional charges were filed after the victim told police about incidents four years earlier involving Kochen, when she was not yet 16 years old.
