LORENZO – Sadie Smith, 19, of Lorenzo, was driving a 2000 silver Cadillac east on Cheyenne County Road 8 when it went out of control near Cheyenne County Road 113 on March 4.

According to the accident report, Smith told authorities she was having issues with the traction control system. It self-activated, then deactivated, causing a sudden surge in power and leading to Smith losing control of the vehicle.

The Cadillac rolled twice after leaving the road and entering a field about a quarter-mile west of County Road 113.

She was taken to the hospital by her father with minor injuries to her head and knee.

The road was cleared at 2:39 p.m., according to the report.
