Girl Scouts agree to run ball field concessions

FALLS CITY - Mayor Mark Harkendorff declared girl scout week for the 113th anniversary of Girl Scouts of the USA on March 12.
He said the Girl Scouts’ distinguished history is marked by preparing girls for a lifetime of leadership, inspiring millions of girls with courage and the character to make the world a better place.
The proclamation welcomes girls of every background to join in the celebration of Girls Scout Week March 9-15.
The city council also approved a 2025 agreement with Girl Scout Troop 20566 for concession stands at the Fiedler Family Ball Complex and Morehead Field. The girl scouts have traditionally ran concessions at the park.
The scouts will pay $15 and agree to keep the concession stands clean and open during baseball and softball games as scheduled by Falls City Recreation. The minimum food products are soft drinks, hot dogs, popcorn, candy and ice cream.
Mayor Harkendorff suggested the city take advantage of offers to build a snack shack at Morehead.
