FALLS CITY – The Falls City School Board voted Monday to negotiate with Andrew Offner for the position of superintendent of schools.

Offner is currently the superintended at Winside Public Schools, where he has worked since 2019.

He also has administrative experience at Madison, Oakland-Craig and Wheeler Central schools.

His resume includes a doctor of education from the University of South Dakota in 2023.

The school board is expected to take action on a superintendent’s contract at an upcoming meeting.

Tim Heckenlively, who served the district as superintendent for 15 years, announced his retirement at the end of June. He plans to explore new opportunities in education.
