9 a.m. - Nebraska City declares a snow emergency until 6 a.m. Friday. 4 inches snow at Table Rock, three at Auburn and Nebraska City. Nebraska 511 reports all roads in River Country as completely snow covered

1:15 p.m. The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for Otoe, Nemaha, Pawnee, Richardson and Johnson counties.
Wind chills as low as 20 below zero are expected for portions of River Country from 11 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Thursday.

Nemaha County reports snow packed, but passable roads this morning. County plows were out early Thursday morning and are expected to work through most of the day.
Matt Schardt of the Johnson County Roads Department says Johnson County’s totals are around 5 inches with seven inches max. Road crews were out at sun up to clear roads. There has been very little drifting.
Lincoln – People’s City Misson reported a record of 430 people flocking to the homeless shelter Wednesday night. The shelter reached its limit of 280 people amid sub-zero temperatures, but no one was turned away.
The Nebraska City Airport reports a wind chill of -22 degrees at 8:15 a.m. with eight mph winds.
