34th Annual Spring Expo set for April in Sidney

SIDNEY, Neb. – The Sidney Spring Expo returns for the 34th year with a weekend full of fun, prizes and business promotions in April.
The event, presented by radio stations 987 The Big Boy and Cheyenne County Country, and Sutton Home Gallery, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds.
A long-standing spring tradition, the expo brings together businesses, organizations and non-profits from Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming, allowing them to connect with potential customers through booth displays, product sales and face-to-face interactions with additional promotions on radio, TV and digital.
Last year’s expo featured nearly 30 businesses from across the Sidney region, including North Platte and Sterling. Vendors showcased a wide range of products and services, from generators and home improvement solutions to health care, coffee, tree trimming and automotive services.
Sutton Home Gallery owner Nick Sutton emphasized the expo’s impact on both businesses and the community.
"The thing that stands out to me most about the Spring Expo is how the community all comes together to show what there is in this town," Sutton said. "It's a great way to get awareness—with all the new people in the community—of what businesses are here and what our town has to offer."
Sutton also highlighted the expo’s ability to generate interest for local businesses.
"We keep coming back because it generates interest in our business," he said. "For example, not everyone knows there's a furniture and appliance store in town. We've been here for years, but there's still people that don't know. It's a good way to get out there and get in front of them."
He encouraged other businesses to take advantage of the opportunity, citing the expo’s growing attendance and strong return on investment.
"It's a great way to get new customers," Sutton said. "A ton of people out there. The expo just keeps getting bigger and bigger every year."
Many vendors also offer door prizes, making the event even more exciting for attendees. In 2024, David Howard, of Lodgepole, won a $5,000 shopping experience to Sutton Home Gallery, while Sidney resident Alex Wright claimed a pair of lower-bowl tickets to see Kenny Chesney, the Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker in Denver.
Concessions will be available throughout the weekend.
