Update: Nebraska City firefighters report that the Nebraska State Fire Marshal's Office has been asked to investigate a late-night fire at an 11th Corso residence.
A woman living at 705 11th Corso escaped the house unharmed, but firefighters say wood over a basement entrance burned. Firefighters extinguished the fire and turned the scene over to Nebraska City police.

NEBRASKA CITY – The occupant of a house that caught fire Friday night escaped unharmed.
Nebraska City Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire dispatched at 12:32 a.m. at 705 11th Corso.
County records say the one-story house built circa 1900 is owned by Gary Graham. A woman living there was attended to by Nebraska City rescue.
