SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Two teenagers charged with the stabbing death of 15-year-old Wyatt Reeb were arraigned in Scotts Bluff County Court on Jan. 24.

Devante Castellaw, 17, and Corey Rotherham Jr., 16, are each charged with second-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. Both are being held on a $1 million bond.

According to court documents, surveillance footage shows Castellaw and Rotherham among three teenagers chasing and assaulting Reeb. His stepmother later discovered him collapsed on the curb near Gary’s Auto Repair, bleeding from the back of his head and struggling to breathe.

Reeb was transported by Valley Ambulance to Regional West Medical Center, where an emergency room doctor found a stab wound to his heart. He was later flown to a Denver hospital for further treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

Castellaw is set to be arraigned in district court on Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. Rotherham’s case was continued, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Feb. 5 at 2:30 p.m. Detectives are continuing to investigate additional leads.

Born May 20, 2009, in Louisville, Colorado, Wyatt Thomas Reeb was known for his energetic spirit and love of baseball and video games. His family remembers him as someone who could light up a room with his smile and humor.

Reeb had a deep love for his siblings and took pride in his unique style, often showing off his favorite shoes and hairstyles. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially sharing meals together. His brothers recall him as the best sibling they could have asked for, always offering support no matter the circumstances.

Reeb is survived by his parents, Tasheena Pourier Hernandez and Donald Reeb, as well as step-parents, siblings, and extended family members.

Reeb's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 at The Chuck Wagon Church in Scottsbluff.
