PERU -- Many talented students, faculty, and staff at Peru State College will have their art displayed during the Fourth Annual All Campus Art Show through February 7.
The phenomenal show, coordinated by Susan Moore, an Associate Professor of Art at Peru State, is displayed in the Art Gallery, in the AV Larson Building on campus. It is open to the public to view.
Moore commented, “I am amazed with the diverse range of art created by our vibrant community! Years prior, members shared their creative woodworking, abstract painting, scrapbooking, and sculptural crafts. This year, we had a beautiful turnout with several incredible quilts, some mind-blowing cross-stitching and textile creations, several complex collaged pieces and textile works, multiple ceramic creations, and over thirty inspiring paintings and drawings!”
A few of the pieces displayed include a “Stars and Stripe” quilt by Heather Rinne, several crocheted items including a “Ballerina Bear Keychain” by Patty Pollock, a diamond painting by Beth Mitchell entitled “Sunset Over Flooded Holmes Lake”, “Grackle on Branch” oil on panel painting by Jaymi Victor, and “Calabrese,” a cross stitch by Kim Regan.
“I love that we see what everyone dabbles in for fun and love. This is a perfect example that we don't all have to be formal artists to be part of our art community,” Moore concluded.
