Grace G. Graham, age 93 of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Friday; January 17, 2025 at the Ambassador Care Center in Nebraska City.

Grace Gloria (Gardner) Graham was born on February 15, 1931 south of Riverton, IA; the daughter of Joseph Francis and Naoma (Beam) Gardner.   She attended school in the Riverton area and graduated from the Riverton High School with the Class of 1948.

She was united in marriage to Lester Junior Graham on August 3, 1962 in Denver, CO and to this union two children were born:  Denise and Shawn.   Her husband preceded her in death on November 19, 1996.

Grace worked at American Meter Company in Nebraska City for several years.   She later worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City where she retired in 1993 after 18 years of dedicated and faithful service.  She was a long-time member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and was very active in various capacities.  She was a member of the former Women’s Division of the Chamber of Commerce and served as the Nebraska State President of the P.T.A.   Grace volunteered numerous hours at the Nature Center in Nebraska City at both the former and current location.

She is survived by her daughter Denise Kuehn and husband Shane of Bennington, NE; son Shawn Graham and wife Jennifer of Omaha, NE; two grandsons:  Tanner Kuehn and Jay Graham; brothers-in-law Greg Graham and wife Barb of Ft. Collins, CO and Benny Graham and wife Caroline of Orlando, FL; special friends Mary Webb and husband David of Nebraska City and Martha Schaffer and husband Gary of Nebr. City, NE; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings:  Earl Gardner, Martin Gardner, Louis Gardner, James Gardner and Alma Powell, sisters-in-law Connie Allen (Bob) and Karen Morgan, and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Gude Mortuary in Nebr. City with Pastor Terry Weible officiating; burial will follow in the Wyuka Cemetery at Nebraska City.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday (1/26) at the mortuary.

Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
