Over 18,000 traffic stops as drug enforcement remains top priority

FALLS CITY- The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office reports on its five-year and 2024 activity with combating illegal drugs as a top priority.

A press release says there were over 18,000 traffic stops and  220 search warrants, including 80 for residences.

There were 25 residential searches in 2024, including actions that identified methamphetamine suppliers in Missouri and Kansas.

An investigation with Nebraska Game and Parks resulted in the seizure of 9 pounds of marijuana and seven firearms in Humboldt and the pursuit of a stolen vehicle resulted in the apprehension of two wanted juveniles out of North Dakota.
