AUBURN, NE - The Auburn Bulldogs split a home doubleheader of hoops action on Tuesday with the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights, as heard on B103! The LCC ladies grabbed a hard-fought 35-31 win in the opener before the Bulldog boys rolled to a 78-20 win.

In the ladies' contest, Lourdes hit just 1/19 from downtown & 12/24 at the free throw line, but they limited the Auburn offense enough to pick up the four-point win, 35-31. Isabelle Fulton led LCC with eleven, while Ariale Franke dropped in ten for Auburn. The Lourdes ladies are now 10-2 on the season, while Auburn sits at 1-11.

The Auburn guys answered back with a solid win in the closer, 78-20. The Bulldogs lit it up from three-point land, going 16/29 from deep, while Lourdes CC was just 6/21 shooting overall! Auburn finished with 12 different players scoring on the night. Brenton Wenzl led the charge with 13, Creighton Keeling hit for 12, and Cam Leslie sunk ten. Brady Schnitzer topped the Knights' scoring with a dozen.

The LCC squads will be back at it Thursday when they host Weeping Water on B103, while Auburn brings in Lincoln Christian that night.
