FALLS CITY - Aaron Gibson, 50, of Falls City was sentenced to four years probation for two separate delivery convictions in December of 2023.

A Richardson County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says Gibson’s vehicle was stopped near Rulo and K9 Valor was deployed for a free air sniff. The affidavit says 9 grams of methamphetamine was found. A sheriff’s deputy says meth is usually found in amounts of .2 grams and says 9 grams is not an amount considered personal use.

A separate affidavit says Sheriff Rick Hardesty was contacted by a confidential informant on Dec. 3, 2023, regarding the purchase of $20 worth of meth. The sheriff attended as the informant went to a Harlan Street residence that the sheriff’s office had searched four months earlier. Court records say Gibson provided meth in exchange for $20.

In other court action, Randall Merryman was fined $1,000 for attempted domestic assault on March 14. A habitual criminal charge was dropped.
