CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 5 p.m. for areas in western Nebraska and eastern Wyoming.

The Winter Weather Advisory has been extended through 12PM today for falling and blowing snow in southeast Wyoming. Snow showers will continue through the morning, tapering off late this morning into the afternoon. Total accumulations from midnight through the end of the event are shown at the right. In addition to the new falling snow, strong winds are producing fairly widespread blowing snow, which is expected to continue through the day today. Travelers across the area should be prepared for slick conditions, strong winds, and sudden visibility fluctuations.
