SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Regional West Medical Center rang in the new year with a special delivery as the first baby of 2025 was born at 11:01 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
Decker Leo Carpenter, weighing seven pounds, four ounces, and measuring 19 ¾ inches long, was welcomed by his proud parents, Mitch Carpenter and Lexie Coe.
The hospital’s Birth and Infant Care Center celebrated the occasion with a longstanding tradition. Kynzie Lentfer, BSN, RN, CLC, director of the center, presented the family with a commemorative onesie and a collection of baby gifts to honor the milestone.
